ABOUT US

ttof-profile.jpg

My name is Ben McFarlane, and I founded threetwoone.fun to provide educational materials that help students who have trouble learning. We create cleverly-written, beautifully-illustrated materials of all kinds that make learning fun.

As a twelve-year-old, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I remember grade two math, and my friend Mark whipping through basic multiplication regrouping problems at what seemed like light speed. That was something I knew I would never be able to do (I was wrong). My whole life I've compared myself to people without ADHD, and though I was medicated for a long time, I never learned strategies to help me learn, organize, or study. In the last few years, I've learned to cope without medication, and redefine how I understand my own cognition.

Threetwoone.fun is a company devoted to making the learning experience more enjoyable for all students, and in particular to help neurodiverse children experience their differences as strengths instead of limitations. Our first product, the multiplication story deck, is an international collaboration between Canadian writers, educators in the US and Canada, and one of the best (I think) illustrators in the world, residing in Indonesia, Bhumi Loupito.
